Supplying
Integration of the photovoltaic park. Today, our park generates the 65% of energy of the 200kW needed with solar energy. We have closed a contract for adding another 60kW which will allow us to have over 90% of the self-produced energy in the sunniest months.
Benefit
Installation of electric car charging station. With local partners we are planning an agreement to encourage discounts for employees on the purchase of hybrid or electric cars, which could be recharged on site.
Packaging
We have converted 90% of retail packaging into recyclable paper packaging (so we reduced the consumption of plastics). We started a project with large-scale retail trade to transform the packaging used (polypropylene bags) in PLA trays, a BIO-Plastic obtained from sugar coming from food waste. PLA is perfectly compostable and recyclable in wet waste.
Technology
We are gradually converting all plants into 4.0 plants with technologically advanced machines capable of reducing energy dispersion. These machines can provide an increasingly accurate selection of products and at the same time reduce the physical effort of the operators.
