Unshelled walnuts

The properties of walnuts are many. They contain mineral salts, trace elements and electrolytes, including phosphorus, potassium, magnesium, calcium, copper (necessary for the synthesis of hemoglobin and hormones), zinc (an important immunomodulator) and iron, as well as a good quantity of omega 3 fatty acids, useful for keeping sugars under control and excellent for heart health. The walnut is actually a nervous system tonic and has anti-anemic, antispasmodic, sedative and anti-inflammatory properties. The cardiac effect of walnuts depends on the balance of electrolytes and, above all, on their action on the muscular and elastic tone of the vessels that promote arterial circulation. 2 or 3 walnuts per day perform the best of this action due to the presence of magnesium, which has an anti-stress, anti-inflammatory, pain-relieving, sedative and anti-edema action.
